Lauren Bradshaw 90210 "Blue Naomi": Most Scandalous Moments Feb 28, 2011 11:31 PM Did 90210 have you fooled? This week, the writers kept a few tricks up their sleeves with plot points that I didn't necessarily see coming — even though one of the night's big reveals was totally recycled from season two! Is the show really running out of storylines already? Emily's putting the moves on Liam, and the guy is actually reciprocating. She also has apparently won over all of Annie's friends, so Annie is left out once again. But Annie's not the only one licking the wounds of rejection. Naomi continues to woo Max with her usual tactics (trench coats and lingerie), but the cute nerd isn't having it. Ivy also gets thrown for a loop when her new guy Raj reveals a shocking secret. All that plus, Snoop Dogg! Let's recap the night's biggest jaw-dropping surprises when you . Naomi pulls the ultimate romantic gesture: she dresses like a Na'vi. There is nothing Naomi won't do to prove a point. In this case, she refuses to believe that new crush Max isn't attracted to her, even after he calls her stuck up and shallow. After multiple attempts involving school girl outfits and trench coats, she decides to get inside his geeky mind by painting herself blue and meeting him at a screening of Avatar . Max's friends have a field day poking fun of Naomi's outfit, so when she storms out hurt, Max runs after her to make her feel better. They share a kiss and agree to keep their little flirtation top secret (hmm, remind you of another TV couple ?). Emily gets a taste of her own medicine. Ding-dong, the witch is dead! Okay, she's not dead, but Emily is shown the door, which is enough for me. Everything seems to be going her way for the majority of the episode; Liam dumps Annie and agrees to go on a date with Emily, plus she gets friendly with Silver, Adrianna, and Naomi. But things are going a little too smoothly. When Emily invites Liam in after their night out, he gets her to spew nasty remarks about the girls, and surprise — they're in the next room. Emily's caught red-handed thanks to Annie and Liam's scheme, and she packs her bags to return home. Here's hoping this is the last we see of her. Ivy is going from burnout to dropout. Ivy's grades are slipping seeing as how she's always stoned at school. But you know it's really bad when even her new pothead boyfriend Raj thinks she needs to rein it in. He tells her to cut it out, which she just shrugs off until he really gives her a buzzkill: Raj reveals that he smokes because of his chemo . . . for leukemia. . . and he only has a handful of years to live. Wow, I did not see that coming. And just when I was getting to really like the guy. Dixon signs Snoop Dogg as a new client. Navid continues to bring high caliber talent to Shirazi Studios. He and Dixon decide to officially acknowledge their partnership (in other words, Dixon gets a paycheck). Dixon's first order of business: take Navid's car to the wash. There he bumps into Snoop Dogg, and after fawning over the rapper (and singing some "Gin and Juice"), Dixon gets invited to take a drive with his idol. As a result of their chance meeting, he locks in yet another deal for the production company, but not before Navid yells at him for disappearing for the day. I don't know how this boss-employee partnership is going to work out between the two friends, but how many more guest star cameos do you think will show up? Silver's naked all over school again. Honestly, you would think after Silver's sex tape, a text of her topless wouldn't be such a big to-do. Adrianna pushes Silver into admitting that she's cheating on Navid by convincing the girls that she thinks Lila is the culprit. Adrianna snaps a photo of Lila in the girls' locker room without a shirt on, but when she goes to hit send, Silver admits the truth to save Lila from embarrassment. Unfortunately, it doesn't save Silver. Adrianna immediately sends a photo of Silver topless, which would be a big deal — if we hadn't already seen this happen before to Annie. Did you know Liam was out to get Emily all along? Were you surprised by Raj's reveal? Sound off below or check out the 90210 Superfans group in the community! Photo courtesy of The CW
Lauren Bradshaw 90210 "It's High Time": Most Scandalous Moments Feb 21, 2011 10:34 PM If the title "It's High Time" didn't already tip you off, Ivy's pot use is a major focus of this week's 90210 (ah, those clever puns). After Dixon rejects the surfer girl, she tokes up to quell her hurt ego. But she's not the only one trying to mask her feelings; Naomi attempts to suppress her attraction to Max by hiring a bunch of male students to pose for a calendar. Hey, whatever works. But clearly no one is more in need of therapy than Emily. The crazy cousin stoops to new lows to ruin Annie, and I'd say it's no longer just a case of revenge. Emily has a major screw loose, and Annie's life is quickly unraveling. Ready to recap all of the drama? Just . Ivy's hooked on weed. When did the show become an after school special? First, Ivy starts smoking to relax for surfing, and now she's getting high on a regular basis. When Ivy asks Dixon out on a date and he turns her down, she gets baked to make herself feel better. Laurel catches her zoning out in front of cartoons and asks her to see a therapist. So Ivy goes to a doctor — except he's doctor who prescribes marijuana. So Ivy heads to a tie-dye-filled shop and buys some pot-laced treats before meeting a fellow weed enthusiast named Raj. They hit it off and hit the town high via the subway. The subway, Ivy? You're so alternative. Annie gets suspended from school. Can someone explain to me why no one believes Annie? The poor girl is desperately trying to get Liam and her friends to take her side in her battle against Emily, but no one listens to her pleas. When Naomi, Silver, and Adrianna call Annie out for saying they're shallow, she tries to defend herself to no avail. Then Emily destroys her own dressing room to make it look like Annie's handiwork, and Annie gets booted from her internship. She jumps Emily in the school cafeteria to wring the psycho's neck, but the angry outburst only does more damage, and Annie receives three days suspension. Make it stop! Hopefully Liam finally sees the real Emily at least. When he returns home, Emily's there, waiting half-naked in one of his shirts. I think breaking and entering dignifies her as fit for the loony bin, but will Liam agree? My hope is he'll realize what Annie's been trying to tell him all along, so he can help take Emily down and fast. The boys take Teddy to a gay club. When Navid, Dixon, and Liam don't invite Teddy to watch the girls' volleyball game with them, Teddy takes it personally. He confides in Silver that he's worried about losing his friends, so she confronts the guys about making Teddy feel included. The guys take her words to heart, perhaps a little too much. They bring Teddy along on a night out at the local gay club, which doesn't exactly make Teddy feel more comfortable. At least they're trying. Naomi kisses Max! Naomi does everything she possibly can to get her mind off her crush on Max. When she's wait-listed for her dream college, she decides to "kill two birds with one stone": make a charity calendar (looks great on applications!) and feature the hottest, musclebound guys in school. She rounds up the candidates for a photo shoot at Shirazi Studios, but when body oil ruins her laptop — and all of the pictures on it — she has to call Max for backup. He works his geek magic on the computer and saves the day. To show her gratitude, Naomi runs after her crush and plants a kiss on him. But how's this for a twist: Max tells her she's not his type. Well, we know Naomi loves a challenge! Adrianna realizes that Silver is Navid's mystery woman. Adrianna gets a call from her reality producers saying that her show isn't interesting enough without her footage with Navid. Distraught, she once again vows to find out who Navid is hiding, so Silver asks Navid to agree to take part in the show, in order to get Adrianna off their trail. He gives in, but when the pilot is ready to view, Adrianna notices something interesting in the opening credits: Silver's wearing the earring that matches the one she found. Uh-oh. Now that the truth is out, I'm dying to see Adrianna's next move. Do you think she'll sit on the discovery and make Silver sweat in the meantime or blow up right away? What did you think of the episode? Do you love Emily's drama, or are you so over it? Do Naomi and Max make a cute couple? Weigh in below, or check out the 90210 Superfans group in the community! Lauren Bradshaw 90210 "Holiday Madness": Most Scandalous Moments Dec 7, 2010 7:30 AM Do you think they could've packed any more cliffhangers into this midseason finale of 90210 ? My head is still spinning! For a show that's high on drama, this episode churned out one jaw-dropping scene after another. It starts off predictable enough: Adrianna's acting like a total snot, Navid and Silver awkwardly avoid each other, and Ivy's still mad at her mother. But once we get about 40 minutes into the show, wham! The teens' hormones go into full effect as multiple couples get busy — and it's not just the regular pairings. I can't wait to talk about everything that happened, so let's jump in when you . Adrianna's past comes back to bite her. The young pop star's self-centered new attitude goes off the rails this week, as she starts renting an expensive mansion that's way out of her price range. To celebrate her new digs and her overall awesomeness, Adrianna throws a holiday party where she coos "Santa Baby" for her guests. But she quickly comes down from her high horse when she receives a "gift" from Victor: a photo of him holding Javier's notebook. Perhaps she shouldn't have been so mean to old Victor, because now he's talking to the press — and all of the dirt on Adrianna gets splattered online. Here's hoping this new turn of events will rein her in a bit. Lately, she's been nothing but a snobby caricature, right down to the tiny dog accessory. Silver and Navid finally go for it. Adrianna invites several friends over to her house for a sleepover, but when the others are no-shows, Silver and Navid are the only ones left spending the night. Awkward! Both stand by as Adrianna's personality grows more and more nasty, until they finally give in to their feelings for each other. Silver admits that something exists between them, and she makes out with Navid right in Adrianna's backyard! I think they're totally justified in giving in to their attraction, but do they have to do it so openly? And furthermore, why not just break up with Adrianna first instead of sneaking around? Annie keeps it in the family. After Liam took a beating defending Laura, he ends up in the hospital, where Dixon and Annie rush to his aid. They bring him back to their house, but when Charlie stops in to see how Liam's doing, Liam's anger hits the roof. Charlie leaves to keep him happy, and Annie and Liam are all alone. Uh-oh. Annie confesses that she felt completely distraught when she heard about his injuries, and Liam replies, saying . . . he loves her? Where did that come from?! Liam and Annie sleep together while poor Charlie sends her text messages. Teddy kisses Ian. Everyone is hooking up and making out in this episode! Teddy finally admits to Ian that he's gay, but he tells him he isn't able to come out just yet. Ian responds that he doesn't want to keep their relationship hidden, and it seems like that's that. That is until, the two guys meet up in the hallway in Adrianna's house. Teddy confesses to Ian that he only wants to be with him, the boys kiss a few times, and Dixon oversees (whoa). Ivy reunites with her dad — with disappointing results. Since she's on the outs with her mother, Ivy reaches out to father to work on their relationship. He agrees to meet and immediately goes into buddy-buddy mode with his daughter. But despite his amiable nature, her father has ulterior motives: he wants to talk to Ivy about her college, as in, he's not going to pay for it. Ivy's devastated to find out his real reason for taking an interest in her, but luckily, Naomi is there for a listening ear. She helps reconcile Ivy and Laurel, and the mother and daughter have a Winter Solstice at home. But speaking of Naomi, I can't forget to mention the biggest cliffhanger of all: Mr. Cannon is back — and hiding in Naomi's closet! The episode closes with his menacing profile hovering just feet away from unaware Naomi. Eek! What did you think of the midseason finale? Which new couple has you most excited? And what do you think will happen with Mr. Cannon? Weigh in below or check out the 90210 Superfans group in community. Photo courtesy of The CW
